Visiting Mykonos for the First Time? Survival Guide

When visiting Mykonos for the first time, one thing is certain; it is not going to be the last time! However, there are several things you should keep in mind, so as to make the most of your stay on the island. Starting off, the weather is warm during summer and so you need to pack lightly. Still, do not forget to take a jacket for the chilly nights. It is called the Island of Winds for a reason, after all!

Then, you should include at least some basic sightseeing during your visit to Mykonos. Panagia Paraportiani, Little Venice, the Windmills and the entire Mykonos Town are must-see! They are all found within small distance, so be sure to combine a visit to all these places at the same time. In this way, you will have a wonderful afternoon exploring the island's history and feeling its authentic vibes.
Mykonos nightlife is legendary, for sure! Check out the various events taking place particularly during summer, so as not to miss out on any special concert or DJ performance. Night clubs such as Cavo Paradiso are also amazing to be in, so check them out as well! And then, Mykonos is world famous not only for its vibrant lifestyle. The beaches along the island are purely stunning!
Keep in mind that at Platis Gialos, a well-organized beach ideal for families and friends, there are boats departing daily taking you to some of the most gorgeous beaches. Super Paradise and Paradise should be in your list, along with Paraga for those searching for parties and beach bars. Psarou is another excellent beach, right next to Platis Gialos and Palladium Boutique Hotel.
Taste local cuisine, explore the villages and feel the marvelous character of the island overwhelming you. Welcome to Mykonos!
